PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Schools Board of Education is having its regular meeting at 6 p.m. today at Williamstown Elementary School.
Among the items that will be discussed are the creation of two cosmetology teaching positions, a move to hire a new Wood County Technical Center director and approval of new superintendent Christie Willis’ contract.
In the consent agenda, they will address a memorandum of understanding with West Virginia University at Parkersburg for a new cosmetology program, and a memorandum of understanding with WVU HS ACCESS-Morgantown and the College of Physical Activity & Sports Sciences to offer college classes to Parkersburg High School students.
The 2023 Teacher of the Year will also be formally announced.
