As most of you Insiders are probably aware, the new COVID variant is making its way into other countries and therefore some countries are locking down on their restrictions again. Disneyland Paris seems to be one of those places as the face mask policy just got stricter than before. Masks are now going to be top priority and Guests will need to be wearing them at all times, both indoors and outdoors. This will include the Lake Disney and the Disney Village areas which previously no longer required social distancing and also were previously exempt from this mask policy.
Following government guidelines updates, Disneyland Paris is now requiring that Guests wear a face covering at all times in all indoor and outdoor areas of the Resort, incl. Lake Disney & Disney Village which had previously been exempt outdoors.

As per usual, face masks may be removed when actively eating or drinking, or when taking an outdoor selfie picture with characters. Here is what the Disneyland Paris website currently states regarding face coverings:
Wearing a mask for children: from 6 years old!
The wearing of an appropriate face covering remains mandatory for all our guests ages 6 and over. Guests will be required to wear a face covering at all times of the day in all areas of the resort (Disney Parks, Disney Hotels, Disney Village and Golf Disneyland). They will be able to temporarily remove their face coverings during meals and to take a picture, at the outdoor Selfie with our characters.
All Cast Members and outside contractors will continue to wear a compliant face covering in all indoor and outdoor areas of the destination.
As a reminder, Disneyland Paris has restrictions for Guests visiting their park. They must have a Health Pass in digital or paper form to verify that they are either fully vaccinated, a negative test in the past 24 hours, or the result of a positive RT-PCR or Antigen test, attesting that the Guest has been infected, and that a period of time of at least 11 days and less than 6 months has passed since the test result was obtained.
While it’s disappointing that Disneyland Paris is going back to a stricter mask policy, they have their Guests absolute well being in mind and are trying to make it a safe space for everyone to enjoy the Disney magic. We hope that things get better over in France so that they can loosen restrictions again by spring/summer of 2022!
