    Kazakhstan sets fuel price limits after protests over hikes

    Kazakhstan on Thursday set fuel price limits on liquid petroleum gas (LPG) for six months, the government said, after a New Year increase triggered protests that boiled over into mass unrest.

    The government said in a statement it took the “urgent” measure to “stabilise the socio-economic situation” in the Central Asian country, where LPG is widely used to fuel cars. Unrest over the price hike led to clashes with police that reportedly left dozens dead.

160 passengers on chartered flight from Rome tested in Amritsar. 125 are Covid+ve

Amritsar airport director VK Seth said the 125 passengers who tested Covid positive are being sent for institutional quarantine in their respective districts in Punjab.

‘Cannot afford doctors falling sick’: AIIMS doctor as Covid spreads among medics

“Say, we have 25 million (people) in Delhi, even if 1% hospitalised, Delhi NCR cannot handle it,” Dr P Sarat Chandra, professor of neurology at AIIMS, was quoted as saying by ANI.
